Director, Corporate Development / M&A at InnerWorkings, Inc in Chicago
Opportunity
InnerWorkings (Nasdaq: INWK) is a leading global provider of managed print and promotional solutions to corporate clients across a wide range of industries. With proprietary technology, an extensive supplier network and domain expertise, we procure, manage and deliver printed materials and promotional products as part of a comprehensive outsourced enterprise solution. Since our founding in 2001, we have grown rapidly to over $400 million in sales through our success in landing large corporate customers.
Three years ago, we began to supplement our strong organic growth with acquisitions of talented print brokerages around the country, and we have since completed 15 acquisitions. With the broader resources of InnerWorkings, these acquired print brokerages have grown their businesses substantially post-acquisition, and the smaller acquisitions (less than $5MM in sales) have been the most successful to date. We plan to continue this M&A component of our growth strategy by actively targeting target the thousands of smaller print brokers in the industry through the efforts of a full-time Director of Corporate Development / M&A.

•Build relationships with business owners through phone conversations, in-person meetings, site tours, and technology demonstrations. Some travel is necessary (20-30%).
•Obtain target financial information for analysis by the M&A / Finance team.
•Present and negotiate acquisition proposals with print broker targets.
•Drive deals to completion, leveraging other InnerWorkings people and resources as necessary for closing.

•Self-starter with strong work ethic.
•Undergraduate degree from a top university.
